Life and Times of a Wannabe Artist

So...

This is my first blog. I have been reading blogs for a while and thought, why not start one of my own. So here it goes..

Ever since I was small (smaller than I am now) I have been creating. Creating forts, creating doll clothes and elaborate neighborhoods for them, creating cards and gifts for my family. As a teenager, when I wasn't making my parent's life even more challenging, I created clothes for myself and friends and even managed to sell a few items and do a couple craft fairs. Never with much success, but you get out of life what you put into it, and motivation did not come easy at the time.
Now, as an adult, I am bubbling over with creativity and motivation. What a blessing. I truly feel like one of the lucky ones to be able to look at something and say "I could do that!" Make a stained glass pane for an empty window, a table for an empty corner, a curtain for a boring window. And most rewarding of all, a gift for a loved one. Something personal and made specifically with someone in mind. A flower for my sister's hair, a dress for my niece or a scarf for my mom, a special Valentine for my husband. These are the things that make me happy; to give a gift from my heart, made with my own two hands, to someone I cherish.
So here I am, approaching 31, and wanting so much help support my dear little family with my creations. Creating and traveling, sounds like a pretty good future to me!
